The Seaboard, covered
myCHEF serves the full Atlantic Seaboard — Bantry Bay, Fresnaye, Sea Point and Llandudno — with private chef dinners from R850 per person, villa chef stays and braais, all with travel included in Zone 1.
The strip between the city and Camps Bay holds some of the most distinct dining settings in Cape Town within a ten-minute drive of each other. Each gets its own treatment below — this is not one suburb with four names.
Bantry Bay & Fresnaye — shelter and privacy
Bantry Bay sits in the wind-shadow of Lion's Head, and locals will tell you it is the calmest address on the coast. That matters for dinner: terraces here stay usable on nights when the rest of the Seaboard retreats indoors.
The clientele is privacy-first. Ocean-view apartments and homes between Sea Point and Clifton, limited through-traffic, and buildings where discretion is the amenity. Our teams load in quietly, work the kitchen invisibly and leave no trace but the meal.
Fresnaye's tree-lined streets sit just above Sea Point's corridor — family homes rather than party villas, which makes it the Seaboard's quietest address for a multi-generation dinner. Expect the same calm on the terrace that Bantry Bay gets from the mountain's shelter.
Sea Point — the promenade corridor
Sea Point is apartment dining: promenade-facing blocks, compact kitchens, long-stay residents and visiting families who would rather eat in than queue. Compact kitchens are routine for us — induction backup travels with the kit.
Sea Point is also the centre of Cape Town's kosher community, with kosher butchers, delis and eateries along the Main Road and Regent Road corridor. For fully kosher events we refer to Beth Din-supervised caterers — true kosher requires a supervised kitchen, and we will never claim otherwise. For kosher-style and kosher-aware menus, we source from the corridor's suppliers and keep strict separation.
Llandudno — when the villa is the venue
Llandudno has no restaurants, no shops and no streetlights worth the name — and that is precisely why people rent there. The nearest restaurant is a fifteen-minute drive over the hill to Hout Bay or back to Camps Bay. In Llandudno, in-villa dining is not the premium option; it is the only option.
We treat Llandudno bookings accordingly: the chef is the evening's venue, menu and front-of-house. Beach houses here are made for it — big tables, sea through the glass, and nothing competing for the night.
Services available along the strip
The same three core services run from Bantry Bay to Llandudno — dinners, villa chef days and gourmet braais. All Zone 1.

Logistics along the strip
One team covers the whole Seaboard, so timing is predictable: load-in from mid-afternoon, first course typically 19:00 in summer, earlier in winter. Victoria Road parking is tight from Bantry Bay south; we arrive early and park off-street where buildings allow. Fresnaye's leafy streets are the easy exception.
Load-shedding planning is standard across the strip — we check the schedule against your date and design menus that hold through a slot. Sourcing is shared with the rest of the city: Seaboard fishmongers, Gardens delis, and Sea Point's kosher corridor where the menu calls for it.
