Sea Point, covered

myCHEF serves Sea Point with private chef dinners from R850 per person, villa chef days and small-event catering — travel included, because Sea Point is Zone 1.

Sea Point is Cape Town's densest dining neighbourhood: promenade-facing apartment blocks, long-stay corporate residents, and families who walk the front at sunset and would rather eat at home than queue on Main Road.

Why Sea Point is special for private dining

Apartment kitchens here are compact, and that is routine for us — a two-plate hob and an oven is enough when the menu is designed for it, and induction backup travels with the kit. Balcony dinners above the promenade, timed to the sunset over the water, are the Sea Point signature.

Long-stay residents are the other Sea Point pattern: weeks or months in a serviced apartment, where a weekly chef dinner — or a chef day stocking the fridge — beats another delivery. Villa chef day rates apply exactly as they do in the big villas.

The kosher corridor, handled honestly

Sea Point is the centre of Cape Town's kosher community, with kosher butchers, delis and long-established eateries along Main and Regent Roads. For fully kosher functions we refer to Beth Din-supervised caterers — true kosher requires a supervised kitchen, and we do not borrow that label.

For kosher-aware private dinners — no pork or shellfish, meat from the corridor's kosher butchers, strict separation in your kitchen — we can and do cook. Tell us your household's standard in the consult and the menu is built to it.

The same honesty applies to halaal: we cook halaal-friendly with strict protocols — certified-sourced meat, separated prep, no alcohol in the food — without ever claiming a certification we do not hold. Sea Point's mixed community has hosted both standards for generations; your kitchen, your rules, precisely followed.

Long-stay patterns that work here

The Sea Point long-stay playbook: a chef day on Sunday stocks the fridge for the week — breakfasts sorted, two dinners prepped, one cooked fresh. A midweek dinner breaks the delivery cycle. Corporate residents on month-long stays often settle into a weekly rhythm that costs less than restaurant dining for two, every night.

Building logistics are part of the service: lift bookings with managing agents, load-in within body-corporate hours, and cleanup that leaves the apartment inspection-ready. Festive season fills the promenade blocks early — December dates should be booked weeks ahead, and the published multipliers apply to public holidays exactly as they do everywhere else we cook.
