The short answer

Wedding catering for villa and Winelands wedding weekends across Cape Town — intimate villa tables from 20 guests to estate receptions. Three menu tiers, plated, family-style or fire, and every quote is all-in: chefs, waiters, rentals and travel itemised before you sign anything.

We are deliberately not a 300-person ballroom caterer. Our format is the wedding weekend: your people, one beautiful place, two or three days of eating well together. That focus is what lets a small senior team stay on top of every plate.

The wedding weekend, day by day

The multi-day weekend is the product. Guests fly in from London, Munich and Joburg; nobody wants one dinner and a goodbye. We build the arc with you — fire on arrival night, the formal reception, then a slow morning after.

Each day is priced separately on your quote, so you can scale the weekend up or down and see exactly what changes.

  1. 01Day 1 — The Welcome Braai: guests arrive to wood fire, Cape wine and snoek or lamb on the grid. Relaxed, generous, no speeches required.
  2. 02Day 2 — The Reception: plated or family-style from three published menu tiers, full service brigade, rentals and coordination included.
  3. 03Day 3 — The Recovery Brunch: a slow, abundant late-morning table. No one lifts a finger; we leave the kitchen spotless.

Three menu tiers, published

Vineyard is family-style with two mains — built for long tables and sharing. Estate is a plated three-course with canapés on arrival. Signature is a plated four-course with premium proteins and a sommelier pairing option.

Every tier shows its from-price and its staffing ratio. What you see on this page is what your quote is built from — prices include VAT where stated, and public-holiday and festive multipliers are published, never hidden.

What all-in actually means

The most common complaint about wedding catering quotes is what gets left out. Ours is one fixed number, itemised — so you can compare us line by line against anyone.

Included

  • senior chef team, service waiters at a published 1:12 ratio, and an on-the-day coordinator
  • crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen rentals, itemised on the quote

Quoted separately

  • Included: menu consult, tasting for booked Signature weddings, site visit and timeline planning
  • wine and pairing add-ons, marquee hire, Zone 2–3 travel, festive multipliers

Logistics we handle so you don't

Villas and estates are not hotels. We run mobile kitchen rigs where the venue kitchen can't carry the menu, and we check power and water capacity at the site visit — including a load-shedding plan with generator backup where the venue requires it.

Rain is a plan, not a panic. We coordinate with marquee partners on wet-weather layouts, and your coordinator runs the service timeline on the day so your planner, your photographer and your kitchen never trip over each other.

  • Mobile kitchen rigs for villa lawns and estate courtyards
  • Power, water and load-shedding checks at the site visit
  • Rain plans with marquee partners, agreed before the day
  • A named coordinator running service on the weekend itself

Seasons and lead times

The Cape has two wedding windows: spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May), when the Winelands light is at its best and the wind behaves. Peak Saturdays in those windows book nine to twelve months out.

December weekends sit inside the festive super-peak, with a stricter deposit ladder and published multipliers — we'll show you those terms in writing before you commit. Winter weddings are quieter, greener and kinder on the budget.
