The difference between a proposal dinner and a romantic dinner is not the food — it is that one half of the table cannot know. Everything we do before the moment is built around that single constraint, and everything after it is built around the answer being yes.

Where to do it
Villa decks are the most reliable: private, controllable, and the photographer can hide in plain sight. Camps Bay and Clifton decks put the sun into the Atlantic in front of you; Constantia and Winelands estates give you vines, oaks and mountain backdrops with shelter from the southeaster.
Beach proposals are the most photographed and the most weather-exposed. We will tell you plainly which beaches are workable in which season, arrange a beach-legal setup where permitted, and always hold the villa as a fallback so the evening survives a wind call.
Lead time matters less than you think. Most proposals we run are planned one to two weeks out, and the SOP is built for exactly that window — long enough to source flowers and book a photographer, short enough that the secret survives. December dates are the exception: book those as early as you can.
