The brunch is the sleeper hit
The morning-after brunch is quietly the most-booked bachelorette format. Pastries, fruit platters, eggs done properly, mimosa ingredients chilled and ready — served around the pool at whatever hour the group surfaces. It pairs naturally with a recovery-style spread, and it photographs well without anyone trying.
Day one braai, night two plated dinner, day three brunch is the classic Cape Town bachelorette arc. Book them together and we plan the whole weekend's food as one menu, so nothing repeats and the shopping runs once.
A practical note for villa weekends: tell us the villa's check-in and check-out times in the brief. We schedule prep around them, and for the departure-morning brunch we work backwards from checkout so the kitchen is spotless before the keys go back.
If the weekend includes a wine-tasting day, book the plated dinner for that evening rather than the braai — the group comes home tired and happy, and a served dinner needs nothing from anyone. Save the braai for the night everyone still has energy to stand around the fire.
Styling, decor and the extras
We cook; we do not pretend to be a decor company. For balloons, flowers, table styling and photography we work alongside independent Cape Town stylists and can coordinate timing so setup and prep never collide. Any partner costs are quoted by them directly — no markups bundled into your food quote, ever.
What we do style is the table itself: linen, plating, canapé boards and a cake-and-champagne moment timed to sunset if the villa faces the Atlantic. In Camps Bay in December that is around 20:00; we plan the evening backwards from it.
Camps Bay and Clifton villas are the classic bachelorette base — walk-to-beach in the day, sunset decks at night — but the Winelands weekend is rising fast: a Stellenbosch or Franschhoek farmhouse, a braai under the oaks, and no one driving anywhere. Travel to the Winelands is a published zone fee, itemised on the quote.
