The short answer

Grazing and harvest tables in Cape Town from a published per-person price, minimum 15 guests. Styling-led spreads built on boards and levels, with setup, breakdown and dietary labelling included — priced all-in against a market that often quotes food only.

One product family, two names: a grazing table and a harvest table are the same idea at different scales. This page covers both.

Styling is the product

Anyone can pile cheese on a board. The difference is composition: heights and levels, seasonal Cape produce, charcuterie and cheeses with actual provenance, breads still warm, and a table that photographs as well at hour two as at minute one.

We style to the occasion — weddings and showers lean floral and soft; brand events lean architectural. Bring the mood board; we'll match it or tell you honestly where it fights the food.

Height is the trick most DIY tables miss. Boards at three or four levels draw the eye down the table and make the spread read as generous from across the room — which is, after all, where your guests first see it.

What's on the table

Every table is built to the season and the occasion, but the architecture stays the same — abundance with intention, not a pile of things:

  1. 01Cheeses and charcuterie with provenance — Cape and South African producers first, labelled.
  2. 02Seasonal produce: stone fruit in summer, citrus in winter, roasted vegetables and dips year-round.
  3. 03Breads and boards: warm flatbreads, seed loaves, roosterkoek — the things people actually finish.
  4. 04The sweet edge: mini milk tarts, chocolate, honey and nuts — so the table ends the meal properly.

What the price includes

The market norm is a food-only quote with styling, boards and breakdown added later. Ours is the full picture, up front.

Included

  • full styling — boards, levels, linens, greenery and serving pieces
  • setup and complete breakdown, plus printed dietary tent cards per dish

Quoted separately

  • service staff at published hourly rates, florals beyond greenery, Zone 2–3 travel
  • the table itself or venue furniture — confirm surface size with your venue or planner

Rates and options

The grazing per-person band and staffing lines render from the canonical rate card. Prices include VAT where stated; festive multipliers are published. Your quote itemises food, styling, staffing and travel separately.

Grazing pairs naturally with a canapé pass for the first hour or a staffed braai later in the evening — we'll price the combination as one quote.

Where grazing tables shine

Wedding arrival hours and kitchen teas, baby and bridal showers, brand launches, gallery openings — anywhere guests drift and return rather than sit once. For seated meals, look at our plated formats instead; we'll tell you when grazing is the wrong answer.

The format travels well: villas, estates, offices and studios across Cape Town and the Winelands, with travel zones published on the pricing page.

One honest boundary: grazing tables are an indoor or covered format. Cape wind and direct summer sun are enemies of a styled spread, so outdoor placements need shade, shelter and a service window we'll agree with you — we'd rather say that at quote stage than watch a beautiful table wilt.
